i2i Systems Successfully Demonstrates Advanced 5G SA Core and NSA Baseband Unit in Simultaneous Live Events in İstanbul and Ankara
i2i Systems is proud to announce the successful demonstration of its cutting-edge 5G Standalone (SA) Core and 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) Baseband Unit during simultaneous live events held in İstanbul and Ankara. During the live demonstrations, i2i Systems showcased three key capabilities of its 5G solutions:
Interoperability with Multiple Vendors: The first demonstration highlighted the interoperability of the i2i 5G SA Core with 5G gNodeBs (gNBs) from three different vendors. This was achieved using commercial 5G smartphones, illustrating the flexibility and compatibility of i2i Systems’ core network with diverse hardware components. This capability ensures seamless integration and scalability across various network infrastructures, catering to the evolving needs of mobile operators.
Performance and Stability Under High Traffic: The second demonstration focused on the performance and stability of the i2i 5G Core. By subjecting the system to high-traffic conditions with substantial throughput and low latency requirements, i2i Systems demonstrated the robustness and reliability of its 5G core network. This capability is crucial for supporting the increasing demand for data-intensive applications and services, ensuring consistent and high-quality user experiences even under peak usage scenarios.
5G New Radio Integration and Long-Distance Data Transmission: The third demonstration showcased the integration of the i2i 5G NSA Baseband Unit with 5G New Radio (NR). i2i Systems successfully generated stable traffic and transmitted data over a 7-kilometer radio link from the Asian side to the European side of İstanbul. This achievement highlights the company’s expertise in deploying advanced radio technologies and its ability to facilitate long-distance, high-speed data transmission, bridging geographical divides and enhancing connectivity.
The Strategy & Architecture Director of i2i Systems commented on the achievements: “Today we carried out three successful demonstrations. The first one is running i2i 5G SA Core interoperable with 5G gNBs of three different vendors through commercial 5G phones. The second one is to show performance and the stability of i2i 5G Core; we made it very visible that the system can run under high-traffic with high-throughput and low latency. The third demonstration is about the 5G New Radio where i2i 5G NSA Baseband Unit is integrated; we successfully generated stable traffic with it and transmitted data through Radio Link from Asia to European side of İstanbul with the distance of 7 km.
