i2i Systems Contributes to Award-Winning Network API Innovation Recognized at FutureNet World 2025

We are proud to announce that i2i Systems played a key role in the Telenor-led consortium that was awarded the Operator Network API Award at the FutureNet World 2025 Awards. The award was granted in recognition of the best example of an API use cases(s) and monetisation, highlighting a significant step forward in the transformation of operator networks through open and programmable interfaces. This achievement underscores the power of strategic collaboration and innovation. As part of this forward-thinking consortium, i2i Systems contributed its extensive expertise in telecom software solutions, helping design and develop automation blueprints, as well as integrate network APIs that unlock new revenue streams, enhance service agility, and accelerate digital transformation across the ecosystem.

Our Role in a Shared Vision
At i2i Systems, we believe in enabling operators to modernize and monetize their networks by providing intelligent, scalable, and future-ready solutions. As part of a broader project involving close collaboration with Telenor and other partners, i2i Systems specifically undertook the following tasks.

● Provided fully 3GPP complaint and cloud-native 5G Core Network that operates in a multi-vendor environment

● Delivered enhanced network slicing capabilities, integrating with the service orchestrator through REST APIs and enabling automatic deployment/activation of services

● Exposed 5G Core network capabilities supporting Network Exposure Function (NEF) integration to enable strategic functions such as policy control to customers

● Deployed edge User Plane Function (UPF) supporting ultra-low latency by keeping traffic local for various use cases such as robotic arms/hands remotely controlled by human experts
