The solution includes our Online Charging System (OCS) and the provisioning system Stargate, offering enhanced service offerings and streamlined revenue management.

As part of our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, i2i Systems is now migrating its platforms to Red Hat OpenShift, a move that will significantly enhance the agility and flexibility of the network environment. This transition will enable the telecom provider to rapidly launch innovative mobile offers and service bundles, positioning them ahead of competitors in an increasingly fast-paced digital landscape.

Key Features of the i2i BSS Platform:

• True Service Convergence: Manage and charge a variety of services—voice, video, data, multimedia—on a single application platform. Customers can be billed on either a prepaid or postpaid basis, providing operational flexibility and comprehensive service offerings.
• Dynamic Pricing & Balance Policies: Offer highly configurable rate plans, packages, and billing scenarios that enable faster time-to-market for Communication Service Providers (CSPs). This flexibility ensures CSPs can quickly adapt to changing market demands.
• 5G-Ready Monetization: Our platform is fully equipped to handle advanced 5G service monetization, including integration with 5G Core networks via the NCHF interface (3GPP Release 16.4). This allows the charging of new 5G digital bundles such as network slicing, and supports legacy networks (2G/3G/4G) through diameter integration.
• Adherence to Industry Standards: Our BSS solution conforms to key industry standards including 3GPP and TMForum, ensuring long-term product viability and seamless interoperability.
• Proven Performance, Reliability, and Scalability: Deployed across multiple Tier-1 operators, our platform offers a unified solution for converged charging, supporting tens of millions of customers with high availability (“five 9’s”) and scalability that grows with operator needs.

To achieve these advancements, i2i Systems has joined forces with Red Hat to create a distributed 5G-ready BSS solution blueprint, utilizing Red Hat OpenShift as a unified application platform. This collaboration offers the “develop once, deploy anywhere” advantage, ensuring that our solution can be deployed across any cloud platform and edge location as required. For the initial project phase, the solution is deployed on AWS hyperscale infrastructure, with the capability to expand seamlessly across other cloud platforms and edge locations.

Deployment Architecture for 5G-Ready BSS Solutions:

The deployment consists of two primary blueprints:

1. Central Converged Charging System (CCS): This blueprint utilizes Red Hat OpenShift’s automated host provisioning to simplify deployment across AWS regions. It provides a scalable and efficient model for managing converged charging.
2. Expansion/Coverage Blueprint (5G CHF): This blueprint supports future expansion and coverage, allowing the solution to scale across AWS local zones, outposts, or other cloud and edge locations. Both blueprints are designed to maintain consistency in Red Hat OpenShift releases, ensuring no drift from a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) perspective and seamless operational management.
