TM Forum Catalyst 2021 – ‘5G: Accelerating smart aviation (Phase IV)’

2i Systems partner with Oracle Communications and MYCOM OSI on the 5G Accelerating Smart Aviation Phase IV Catalyst project with champions BT and JT IoT during TM Forum DTW2021.

The catalyst explores how CSPs can empower enterprises with interfaces and tools through which they may configure their 5G network experience together with the ability to modify such experiences through the expression of business policies that can be mapped to technical policies within the CSP’s BSS/OSS environment.

In this Catalyst, two use cases are studied for an enterprise that desires to controls LCM of 5G Slices and Charging Policies based on their business intents.

1. Customer Loyalty in case of flight delays
2. Connectivity Revenue Optimization

As i2i systems team, we managed to map the product balance entity of the Charging Function to policy entities as described in TM Forum GB922 Policy R18.0.1 document.
